On 28 December of each year, Bahrainis commemorate the arbitrary arrest of the Secretary General of Al-Wefaq, the largest opposition political society in Bahrain, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Salman. His arrest on trumped-up, politically-motivated charges took place in 2014, marking nine years in prison.
Sheikh Ali Salman is a brave national leader serving a life sentence due to his political positions and principles against the policies of tyrannical rule in Bahrain. He is well-known for his insight, populism, fairness, and wisdom.
Sheikh Ali Salman is an exceptional personality; he is from the school of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassem (may the Almighty lengthen his honourable life) and the late prominent leader, Sheikh al-Jamri (ra).
If we consider his political speeches, even religious ones, we notice this remarkable insight, this complete concern for Bahrain to be a just homeland for all Bahrainis: Sunnis and Shiites, Islamists and liberals. The leader has never spoken with hateful sectarian logic, but rather, his rhetoric is a conscious, moderate, and fair one. Sheikh Ali Salman believed in an independent sovereign Bahrain, a state free from tyranny and independent from the British and the American hegemony.
The most important question that pops up after these years is: Why has Sheikh Ali Salman been arrested?
Indeed, Sheikh Ali Salman has arrested as he has realised early the extent of the danger Bahrain is lurking in. His Eminence, Sheikh Ali Salman, has realised that the main goal of the people’s marginalisation from decision-making is to turn Bahrain one day into a colony where Zionists could roam comfortably, a colony where every house is monitored by the Zionist Pegasus spyware technology.
Currently, on every house in Bahrain, there is a political detainee, enduring the hardship of imprisonment. In every house in Bahrain, there is someone who has been forcibly exiled and has been kept away from his loved ones because of expressing free opinion.
His Eminence Sheikh Ali Salman has been, and still is, a staunch defender of the Palestinian cause. He has great insight, believing that the Zionist project is a dangerous imperial scheme that threatens the entire region, not just Bahrain. For this reason, he has been removed from the local and regional political scene.
Everyone knows that Sheikh Ali Salman is innocent of the fabricated charges of collaborating with Qatar. Sheikh Ali Salman has been leveled with these false, malicious and vindictive charges, in order for the Al Khalifa family to remove him, along with the rest of the opposition leaders, so they can easily seize Bahrain, and transform it into a spy intelligence base that threatens the security of the entire region, and to further shamefully protect the “Israeli” ships, which bomb the Palestinians, exterminate, and slaughter them without mercy.
What Bahrain needs today – this country with an authentic conservative Islamic identity; this country known for its scholars, thinkers, seminaries, Husseini Matam (congregational halls), and mourning processions; this steadfast country – is an outstanding leader like His Eminence Sheikh Ali Salman.
The Bahraini regime’s war against Sheikh Ali Salman, of course, is the same war against Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and against all Bahraini clerics. It is a war on the religious identity of Bahrain as the arrogant imperialist project and the puppet Bahrain regime fear every person who adhere to their faith & ideology.
Historically speaking, the Shiite-rooted existence in Bahrain has been warred against since Al Khalifa took over the country by the help of the British colonialists.
These puppets want Bahrain to turn into a liberal homeland bankrupt of values, devoid of Islamic principles, a homeland that abandons the Holy Qur’an, whereby controls & principles are infringed, and infested with moral corruption.
The clerics, such as Sheikh Ali Salman, has been vehemently fought against so that Bahrain would become under an American custody, under a British custody, and under a Zionist custody.
Today, after nine years, without a doubt, the people of Bahrain will continue their righteous struggle. Sheikh Ali Salman will be released – albeit after a while – from prison, with the help of the Almighty, and this faithful identity of this Islamic country would never change.
Freedom for Sheikh Ali Salman, freedom for this caring father, who has became a grandfather to his granddaughter “Fatima” without seeing or touching her, whose daughter “Nabaa” has reached nine years of age, and has worn the Hijab, without ever feeling his tenderness as she was a newborn when he was arrested.
All prayers for this patient, struggling family, first and foremost for his two patient wives, who are practising the Jihadul Tabyeen (Struggle of Clarification) to highlight his plight on both traditional and alternative media platforms. These two patient and courageous women are from the school of Sayyedah Fatimah-az-Zahra (sa), and they deserve appreciation and praise for this distinguished role that they performing.
Each and every one of us, all the free people of the world, all the enemies of Zionism, imperialism, and dictatorship, are with Sheikh Ali Salman, the advocate of truth, the advocate of Palestine.
