FBI, US Justice Dept. Deliberately Lie About Case on Money Transfers to Iran

The sentencing and slandering of Sayyed Muzzamil Zaidi is not only a case of the US government lying to the public, but it is a vast infringement on the religious liberties they pretend to stand for.

The US Justice Department and the FBI are deliberately lying about the criminal case against Sayyed Muzzamil Zaidi and Asim Naqvi, two US-based Shi’a Muslims who had raised charity money to send to the suffering people in Yemen.

The FBI is erroneously claiming that Zaidi, a US-based Islamic scholar and activist, pleaded guilty to charges of “operating a system that ‘illegally transferred’ tens of thousands of dollars from the United States to Iran, a ‘major state-sponsor of terrorism.'”

However, Zaidi issued a statement where he says that according to the official court proceedings, he only pleaded guilty to two charges which involved Yemen, not Iran.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Salamun Alaykum.

As some of you have heard, earlier this week I made the difficult decision to plead guilty to two charges that were brought against me by the U.S. Department of Justice. On May 1, 2024, I pled guilty to arranging for the transfer of khums to Iran with the ultimate destination of Yemen and agreeing with others to do so. I wanted to explain my decision to you because the Department of Justice issued press releases this week that are not accurate and misrepresent the nature of my plea.

As many of you know, I collected khums and charitable donations in the community to help our Yemeni brothers and sisters who were suffering terribly as a result of the civil war there and who were being indiscriminately bombed and ruthlessly attacked by foreign governments. The pain and suffering of the Yemeni civilian population was simply too much to witness from afar without doing something to help. Unfortunately, due to the difficulty of sending funds directly to those in need in Yemen, khums were collected here in the United States and carried to Iran or Iraq for further transfer to Yemen.

Sending funds to or through Iran, even khums or other charitable donations destined for desperate civilians in need, is unlawful in the United States without the proper licenses, and I admitted this week that I arranged for that to happen. I did not want others who assisted with this humanitarian effort to be exposed to further government investigation or otherwise put at risk. I have accepted responsibility for what I did, and I hope that others are spared further trouble.

The Department of Justice issued a press release following my plea that suggested I pled guilty to transferring funds to Iran “for the benefit of Ayatollah Ali Husseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” That is not correct. My efforts were solely to assist Yemeni civilians in need. I did not work as an agent of any government and was not acting at the direction of or for the benefit of the Supreme Leader, and to the best of my knowledge, all of the funds that I collected were sent from Iran to Yemen to assist in the humanitarian effort. The Department of Justice accused me of collecting khums for the benefit of the Rahbar (Leader) as opposed to the Yemeni population, but my lawyers proved to the government with evidence that its accusations were false. I have never pled guilty to or agreed that I engaged in such conduct.

Giving khums and collecting khums is part of our religious obligation and, as my lawyers pointed out to the Department of Justice, is a protected right under the U.S. constitution, which guarantees freedom to practice our religion. U.S. law forbids transferring money to Iran destined for others, even civilians in Yemen who benefitted from our charity. I admitted to violating the law prohibiting sending money to Iran and accepted responsibility for that conduct, nothing more. I hope this explains what I did and why I did it.

Statement of Muzzamil Zaidi

For those who are not aware of Shi’a Islamic beliefs, khums is an annual religious tax, similar to various things that Christians pay towards their church leadership, which is often used to support the poor and other social causes. Khums is derived from the Arabic word for five, since it is one-fifth of the believer’s annual disposable income after expenses for basic necessities is deducted from the gross holdings. It is a religious obligation that is central to Shi’a Islam across all intra-faith differences.

Even the followers of Sadeq Shirazi — a deviant pseudo-cleric who is connected to the MI6 and whose satellite channels are filled with lewd, offensive, and intentionally provocative insults against Sunni Muslims, which in turn gets re-played to members of ISIS so as to motivate them to slaughter Shi’a Muslims — are also required to pay khums to Shirazi, who himself is a sworn enemy of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei. Even the enemies of Imam Khamenei have the system of khums in place, because it is that fundamental of a part of Shi’a Islam that it spans across the various divides in our faith.

While the US in practice does not have freedom of religion, on paper it is not supposed to favor one religion over the other, and a practice such as khums should be exempt from US laws targeting Iran and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. However, the fact that the US chose to target Sayyed Muzzamil over the issue of khums shows that this Satanic empire is indeed at war with Shi’a Islam and with Imam Mahdi (aj) himself. Any sincere Shi’a Muslim, regardless of which grand scholar they follow as their marja, should be greatly alarmed by this attack on one of the most fundamental aspects of our religious practices.

This exposes the hypocrisy of the US system’s claim to freedom of religion. This is nothing new under the sun, as the US just passed an “antisemitism” law which would essentially outlaw preaching of the Gospel as well as preaching the Qur’an, due to the passages found in both holy texts which records the truthful history about how the Jews went astray, rebelled against God, and killed many holy prophets, including the messiah Jesus Christ (as). The Qur’an differs slightly, in that God foiled their plans and preserved Jesus from execution, but it still mentions that the Jews are the ones who persecuted him and wanted him to be killed.

There is only one religion in the US that gets protection in the US, and that is the religion of the Pharisees (which continues today through Zionism), while Christians and Muslims are subjected to government harassment and persecution. Unlike secular nationalists, Christians and Muslims do not view the Jewish issue from the lens of racialism or biological determinism, since race cannot be changed, while actions and the beliefs that drive such actions can. Therefore, the accusation of “antisemitism” is totally false, since such a buzzword is an accusation of irrational hatred of Jews as a race of people, rather than academic and logical criticism of the actions and beliefs of Jewish supremacists and Zionists, since Christians and Muslims view the matter from the issue of the soul, and not of race.

If the US truly had freedom of religion, the case against Sayyed Muzzamil and the new so-called “antisemitism” law would not even exist for us to discuss it publicly.

These lies against Sayyed Muzzamil were additionally repeated by Zionist media networks such as the so-called Iran International, which is not based in Iran and is currently under “israeli” ownership, after having been abandoned by Saudi Arabia following the diplomatic rapprochement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Saudi royal family.

The deceptive statement by the US Justice Department makes Sayyed Muzzamil to seem like some kingpin of a sophisticated money laundering scheme, when in fact it was a charity drive to help people in Yemen who were being starved and bombed by the US/Zionist-backed Saudi coalition. Iran International banks on the fact that most of its followers are ignorant westerners who don’t know anything, because the image they used is of a publicly available payment page on Leader.ir which is used for paying khums by average people who have an Iranian bank card. Surely, a money laundering scheme of that size would not involve paying money online to a publicly available website, especially as some Iranian banks impose daily spending limits on bank cards. Such imagery only works on gullible fools brainwashed by Zionist media propaganda against Islam and Iran who accept to be spoon-fed by lies without researching what they are being told.

The FBI’s statement, which accuses Iran of being a “major state-sponsor of terrorism,” is incredibly duplicitous and hypocritical. The only state-sponsor of terrorism is the US and “israel,” who created and armed ISIS which was formed out of the various US/”israeli”-funded anti-government factions in Syria. The only ones who “export fear, violence, and death across the globe” are the CIA and Mossad. The ones who defeated ISIS terrorists were the IRGC (led by Martyr Qassem Soleimani), Hezbollah, Syrian Arab Army, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units, and the Russian armed forces.

The US still to this day sustains and supports ISIS, and the US base in Al-Tanf Syria that was recently targeted by resistance forces was literally a base in which the US trains ISIS and al-Qaeda rebel soldiers, yet the media told the masses to cry over the terrorist training center that is illegal due to not being approved by the legitimate Syrian government led by President Bashar al-Assad. The presence of ISIS-K in Afghanistan is due to the US transporting ISIS fighters from Syria and Iraq to Afghanistan, to be a source of instability and a proxy death squad in place of the US’ official occupation of the country which collapsed a few years ago during their humiliating withdrawal.

The only clandestine system of illicitly transferring money to terrorist groups is the CIA’s black budget, not a man of God who seeks to give charity to suffering Yemenis.

The US system is the height of hypocrisy and Satanic arrogance. This is a direct attack on the religion of Shi’a Islam itself, as it is not an accident they chose khums as the reason to target Sayyed Muzzamil. This is a case of “show and tell” so that the FBI can pretend like they did something big against Iran, when in reality this does nothing but prevent charity money from reaching those who are blown to bits by US bombs in Yemen and to scare other Muslims in America into submission, hoping that people do not have the conviction to do what is right, even when certain laws are immoral and unjust.

When Muslims have more fear of the US government than fear of God, the more easy it is for the arrogant powers to target sincere servants of God like Sayyed Muzzamil. It’s a catch-22, since the more people stand up for what they believe in, the harder it is for the tyrants to target us all. They will eventually run out of resources and they will not be able to put out the fire of righteousness in the hearts of the people.

Sayyed Muzzamil is innocent and it is a criminal system which dares to label giving charity and abiding by religious duties as a “crime.” The lies of the FBI must be condemned. The FBI is a criminal organization which, in cahoots with the CIA and the Zionist network, is behind the murders of Malcolm X (ra), Martin Luther King, and even President John F. Kennedy — and for these crimes, it must be dismantled, for the benefit of the American people and the people of the world who are subjected to the mafioso-like tactics of this Satanic, criminal organization.

It is the duty of all believers to stand against tyranny and not be ashamed of our honorable beliefs and standing for the truth and educating the masses about who the real terrorists are. Of course, we should work on making sure when elucidating the truth about the heroic nature of the resistance — which has not ever harmed innocent civilians and only defeated terrorists and tyrants — that it is relevant to the masses based on the capacity of the society we are living in, no matter east or west, rather than preaching to the choir through sloganeering. If we are going to take the risks associated with standing for the truth and what is right, we might as well think deeply about the way in which we present it so that the most amount of fertile seeds are planted in the minds of those who had been previously brainwashed by the empire of lies.

Christians of the west who have been blessed to have the wool of Christian Zionism pulled away from their eyes should also be alarmed by this kangaroo court against Sayyed Muzzamil, because this precedent will also soon be used against Christians, especially in pursuit of the anti-Biblical measures included in the recent “antisemitism” law passed by the US Congress. If no one stands up to this, the only acceptable religions in the US will be Zionism, LGBT, and liberalism, an anti-Abrahamic paradigm which is what the UN 2030 agenda seeks to impose on the world.
